raising and lowering

We did an experiment with Obama using an image we found of his portrait and of a skull and brain we got them from google and we then stuck it to a foam backing board and used a scalpel to cut out parts of his face to then go though the layers of the head. so we cut out one piece of his face and then put some of the skull. we then cut a hole in that so that even less of his brain was visible and it created a layered image.

the effect worked well as most of the foam board wasnt visable so it didnt ruin the effect of the 3D as bad i think it could be improved by useing my own images and also maybe so more stuff that is created rather then downloaded of the internet for example m freind from art handdraw a skull that i could use under the face so that it adds more detail to the 3D images. other ways you could make it better is by useing better paper for example luster so that the printing is of much better quality. Alternativly I could add more layers to make the effect better and add more detail to the finished product.
